Municipality of Centar has received a new square as a donation from Stopanska Banka

"For Pleasent Neighborhood Gatherings," the Municipality of Centar has received a new square as a donation from Stopanska Banka - AD Skopje. The square is located in front of the Municipality of Centar, at the corner of Mihail Cokov Street and Orce Nikolov Street, and includes a futuristic installation called the 'urban attractor.' This urban installation consists of platforms with irregular shapes, benches, decorative greenery, and bicycle parking, covering an area of 56 square meters. Mayor Goran Gerasimovski of the Municipality of Centar, together with Bojan Stojanoski, General Director for Risk Management and Member of the Board at Stopanska Banka AD - Skopje, inaugurated the new square, stating that this space will revive the area and become a new gathering place for relaxation and friendship.

"I am pleased that Debar Maalo is getting a new square where citizens and passersby can rest. It includes bicycle parking, making it a great spot for a quick break from cycling or while completing tasks in the environment. The slogan “For Pleasent Neighborhood Gatherings” indicates that the square is a new place for socializing and relaxation, especially in the evening hours when it will be illuminated. I hope that citizens, especially the youth, will appreciate and maintain it so that we can all use it for a long time," said Gerasimovski.

"Neighborhoods are an institution that should be nurtured, and neighborhood friendships play a significant role in fostering attachment to our homes and neighbors. The inspiration for this unusual urban sculpture and square comes from our tradition of writing the most beautiful story together for 80 years - HOME. We are grateful to the Municipality of Centar for the cooperation with our team and to the architectural studio for this impressive structure," stated Stojanoski.

The square is designed by studio BMA, and Mr. Besian Memeti, architect.
