HOME is better with the new "Magnolia park"

Stopanska banka crowned its 80th anniversary with a donation of 80 grown trees of the Magnolia Grandiflora species and together with representatives from the City of Skopje opened a new "Magnolia Park" within the Skopje City park.

The tall plants and walkways built through the new park will be a real treat for all visitors to the park, but at the same time they will be of great importance for the environment - through clean air, food for pollinators, as well as a new home for the rest of the fauna that gravitates to the park.

Stopanska banka, through the #GreenWall project, has been planting evergreen and deciduous grown trees in several locations in the City for 2 whole years with a spring and autumn campaign, thereby creating a better green future for everyone.

Part of the promotion of the new park were the current and retired employees of the Bank who received thanks for their contribution, but also a dedication and the opportunity to plant the tree dedicated to them and to all future employees who will grow together with Stopanska banka in the years to come. The attendees concluded that HOME is more beautiful with the new "Magnolia Park" and that they will take care of their trees, which for the Bank is an incentive for further partnership cooperation with public institutions for the benefit of citizens and the community.

Many thanks to the City of Skopje, who are our partners in the #GreenWall project. The care for the 2,000 seedlings planted so far belongs to Public company "Parkovi i Zelenilo", which plans and builds the city's greenery, but also to our colleagues who participated and to each of our fellow citizens, because the greenery is of common interest.

About the donation:

The Magnolia Park is located at the beginning of the city park, from the entrance from Blvd. Ilinden next to ZOO Skopje. It extends over an area of ​​2000m2 and consists of 2 walkways and 80 x 6-year-old trees of the Magnolia Grandiflora type. The choice of the trees, whose recognizable symbol are the striking pink flowers was made because they resemble the corporate colors of Stopanska banka, but also to create an attractive new content in the city that will be more beautiful and richer with each passing year.

The trees were previously controlled by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food - Skopje at UKIM in Skopje and the Faculty of Forestry Sciences, Landscape Architecture and Eco-engineering "Hans Em", including the soil where they were planted with recommendations for nutrition. In the following days, a water network will be installed for continuous irrigation on the drop-by-drop principle for the sustainability of the seedlings in the long term.

The performance of the park and the planting of the trees was realized by the public companies "Parkovi i zelenilo" and "Ulici i patista".
