Donation for territorial fire departments

Stopanska banka fully equipped three territorial firefighting units with individual firefighting uniforms: boots, helmet, gloves, jacket, shirt and pants. The uniform is especially made to assist in fighting forest fires, a natural calamity from which our mountains suffer every year.

The units from Staro Nagoricane, Rankovce and Kratovo with a total of 27 firefighters are already using the equipment and expressed their satisfaction at the meeting with the Board of Directors of Stopanska banka at the Crisis Management Center.

The donation from the Bank is an expression of our deep gratitude and respect to all of you, prompted by the devastating fires that swept the country during the summer, and which, unfortunately, are becoming more frequent throughout the region. In the face of the devastating power of wildfires we discover our vulnerability as a society and community, so if we are already able, helping the front line of resistance is the least we can do. We sincerely hope that you will not need to use the equipment often, but at the same time we are glad that you received completely new and modern equipment that will protect you and provide better working conditions.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Center for Crisis Management through which the donation was made because they had direct insight into the situation on the ground and were able to assess which territorial units should be covered by the donation.

The director of CMC, Stojanche Angelov, at the meeting with the management of the Bank and the representatives from units at the CMC premises, expressed great gratitude to the firefighters for their great commitment in dealing with fires, as well as to the Bank, the donor of the equipment for the firefighters.

With these donations, and in line with the "HOME" campaign, which during 2024 promoted the 80th anniversary of Stopanska banka, we contribute to HOME being better and safer for us and thereby building a future on healthy and solid foundations with Stopanska banka on our side.

About the donation:

In the wake of catastrophic forest fires across the country, the Bank approached the Center for Crisis Management with an offer to help in a way that would strengthen efforts to deal with forest fires on the long run.
During the negotiations with CMC, it was proposed to provide a set of individual equipment for 27 firefighters, i.e. complete equipment for three territorial units and all their active firefighters - Staro Nagoricane, Rankovce and Kratovo.

The bank sourced the equipment from local suppliers who delivered top-of-the-line equipment manufactured according to global standards that can withstand high temperatures with maximum protection for users. The equipment, with specified dimensions, has been delivered and the firefighters already have it at their disposal.
