Celebration of the 80th anniversary of Stopanska banka - the foundation of the domestic economy

The Bank with the longest tradition in the country, Stopanska banka AD - Skopje, last night celebrated its 80 years –anniversary with a unique gala concert at the Philharmonic by the piano virtuoso, Simon Trpceski. At the central celebration, with the presence of Professor Gikas Hardouvelis, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and senior executives  of the NBG Group, and in front of distinguished guests from the state, embassies, representatives of important domestic and foreign financial institutions, businessmen, journalists, current and former employees, and associates, the Bank recalled the success story it has been writing for eight decades. It is a story of lasting legacy, with Stopanska Bank as the foundation of the domestic economy and the symbol of stability, security, progress and trust.

Specially for this important anniversary celebration, maestro Simon Trpceski and his friends performed a masterful concert with a transcription of traditional music from the region by the composer Pande Shakhov. On the stage of the Philharmonic, in addition to Trpceski on piano, were: Hidan Mamudov on clarinet and saxophone, Vladimir Krstev on violin, Aleksandar Somov on cello and Vlatko Nushev on percussions. Special guests at the concert were the violinist Simos Papanas from the Thessaloniki Philharmonic, as well as the famous local vocalist Elena Andonovska. Special visual effects created for the needs of the event by the regionally known video artist Florian Kanga, added to the richness of the celebration.
