Campaign to raise awareness of online sales fraud
The #SellSafe campaign, led by Europol and the Austrian Criminal Intelligence Service, aims to teach people and e-commerce clients how to buy and sell safely online to protect their self against the biggest cyber weekend of the year (Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Singles Day)
The Republic of North Macedonia is one of the 16 countries participating in the annual campaign under support of the E-Commerce Action for 2020, called #SellSafe (#SellSafe) and #BuySafePaySafe (#BuySafePaySafe), whose goal is to raise online sales.
The Ministry of Interior, through the Sector for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics, in cooperation with Europol and Stopanska Banka AD - Skopje, is involved in this campaign, in which law enforcement agencies from Austria, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the United States have teamed up with Europol's European Cybercrime Center and the Merchant Risk Council to share practical advice on how to outwit criminals who try to abuse online shopping.
